The Last Wolf The soaring wind bellowed its loud song as the snow gave in to the wind and let it carry the snowflakes to the snow that blanketed the once green ground. The trees shimmered and shivered in the wind and allowed the snow to cling to them. The trees enveloped the million acres of free land, the mountains were high and low, and they offered a block to the wind and snow. The rocks were swept with snow, and the paw prints were visible for a second. The paw prints belonged to the two couple of wolves that strayed among the mountains in search for a den. The male's bulky paws crunched the newly fallen snow, the bushy silky night black tail swayed gently and surrendered to the wind, the lantern yellow eyes illuminated the bright moon overhead, the black ears twitched to the sound of the wind, the leg muscles tensed and shifted as he moved the muscular tools along with his bulky brute body. His pelt was silky and night black and reflected the moon light, the shoulders were broad and the shoulder bone shifted as he moved his front legs, his flanks moved and tensed and he moved his fore legs, the broad chest muscular as it is was heaving calmly up and down as the lungs took in the air, his age was 2 years old and his name was Kikyo. His bulky body was of a male and he took orders from no one. He was born a rebel, and will die a rebel. The pointed grayish silver tail swayed in the wind rapidly, following the flow of it. The lantern yellow eyes burned like hot coals, the muscular legs tensed and moved as they carried the female body. The grayish silver body was splattered with black here and there which made it look like someone spilled black paint on her, her chest moved up and down as the heart breathed and the lungs took in the cold air, the broad shoulders of the female were moving slightly, her maw provided cover for her pearl white fangs that could break metal. The well-formed black nose of the wolf was wet with perspiration and the snow, the maw of the brute was much more powerful than the she-wolf’s and the fangs were gleaming and powerful, they could crunch metal for they were healthier than a horse and stronger than an ox. The female’s name is Crystal. She was named this for the way her pelt shone like a crystal under the flaming ball of fire during the day and gleamed like a crystal under the cold icy ball of the night. Kikyo was named for “Kikyo” means in a language, “Power and bravery.” The two wolves put their noses in the white soft snow and then sniffed and continued to trot along the ground, their soft pink pads kissing the ground while submitting to the paws of which they clung to. They finally picked up the scent of a caribou, a herd of caribou. They silently ran through the snow, towards the scent that grew and grew like a sponge absorbing lots of liquid. They saw the group of five male caribou and two females. They then ran ahead of the walking caribou herd, and then they waited. Kikyo was waiting in the bush ahead of them as they were getting ready to enter the stream filled forest, and Crystal walked beside the alpha caribou, the one with the strongest and biggest antlers, in the shadows, waiting until they got to the forest, for these two sibling wolves knew the forest like the back of their paw. If the caribou herd was out in the opening, they would have a very high advantage; only, through the forest was a shortcut, so Kikyo and Crystal use that to their better advantage. Once the caribou herd entered the forest, Kikyo sprang upon a male caribou and then he grasped the caribou’s side and then he slashed open his side with his teeth and leapt off, the caribou started to run, and the wolves chased them. The wolves looked like dogs running as fast as they could to catch a ball. Kikyo then leapt again, landing on the bleeding caribou male’s neck, and he hung onto the neck as the animal was thrashing him about. Kikyo then pulled as hard as he could on the animal, and it came sprawling down on its side and Kikyo then growled and snarled and then leapt upon his neck and bit the chord that was helping him grasp onto live, death now made the caribou let go of the life and death took him under. Crystal was still chasing the alpha, when the alpha turned and faced her, his antlers down, his nostrils flaring, and his black hoof scraping the snow away under it, and showing pawed up grass and dirt. The alpha then charged at her, like a bull charging a red cloth, and then Crystal crouched low and tensed her muscles until they bulged out of her body. The alpha was a few yards away, and then she leapt, meeting the alpha in mid-air. She had her short claws gripped to his throat and then she ripped his skin open and then leapt off, he started to run. Crystal than leapt again and got a death grip on the thick orange tan throat. The alpha then snorted and then he staggered to his right, then his left, them he fell on his side, blood spurted like a fountain once his neck was released from the grip. Kikyo then went over to Crystal and they both continued to run after the caribou. They then leapt high in the air, Kikyo landed on a male’s back and then he grabbed the back of his neck and then bit down hard then he hung on to him as the caribou began to leap in the air trying to shake off Kikyo. He never succeeded for Kikyo then leapt off the caribou and then he sprung at the caribou, finally getting him in the jugular vein. The caribou was quick to fall and then Kikyo then began to run after another. Crystal had landed on a female caribou and then she had bitten down on the back and then the neck, finally being able to slide down her throat to the caribou’s jugular, the female caribou was in a haze, then she fell with a slight snort. Crystal then ran after another female, and she leapt. Kikyo landed on the male and then the caribou kicked him off. Kikyo went flying in the air, and he landed with a slight thud in the snow, he got back up and then he was at the hooves of the caribou, snarling menacingly, hair standing up like a porcupine, throat rumbling from ferocious growls, ears played flat on his head, his lantern yellow eyes burning with hatred and anger, fangs bared to their roots, clear and yet bubbly saliva dripping on the snow and clinging to his fangs. He then opened his maw and then he clamped down hard on the caribou’s ankle, making him fall head over heels on his back. He then leapt upon the caribou, pinning him down by putting his fore paws down on each side of the caribou and then putting his front legs beside the head of the caribou, he then opened his maw and then reached for the caribou’s thick throat, but the caribou then placed his font hooves upon Kikyo’s neck to prevent this of happening. Kikyo then snapped his jaws in front of the caribou’s face, he then bit the caribou’s ankles and snapped his feet off, and he then got the throat and bit it. He then leapt off and then chased the last male. Crystal landed on the female, placing her jaws on the caribou’s antlers; she then pulled back and then made the caribou do a back flip before Crystal made for the throat. Blood rolled down her throat as she bit the life vein. The caribou picked up his pace and he realized that, when he looked around with his chocolate colored brown eyes, he was the last one and Kikyo was leaping at him. Kikyo had landed on the caribou’s back and he was clinging to him with his claws that fiercely dug into the soft thin tan orange fur of the caribou, and he then lunged his jaws forward and grabbed his neck and held onto it. He then was flung over off the back of the caribou, his fangs still gripping the neck, his fore legs and hind legs were dragging on the ground, massive clumps of snow, dried out grass, and dirt flew everywhere as Kikyo’s claws tried to get a grip on the ground. The male caribou then was gasping for breath and panting. The animal lay down and Kikyo had his chance to lunge forward and grasp the death grip, and Kikyo took that chance. His fangs clasped around his neck in a flash. Crystal then had the alpha caribou in her fox trap grip and she was going backward dragging him along, the caribou made a trail of dripping bright red blood in the pale white snow. Kikyo and Crystal continued to carry the dead caribou towards a den they found that had two hot springs in it. They placed the caribou pack by the hot spring and they then made this, they each get two and share the alpha. They then ate their fill and left the den, the snow has calmed, and they could see clearly-c-

Kikyo then found a high cliff and got upon the rock and there was a little stump looking rock that was big enough for him to stand on, he climbed upon this and he flung his head back and howled a magnificent howl that sang through the trees like a song, bouncing off the trees and into the ears of other animals. His head still rose as he howled, if you looked at him from below and to his left, he would be in the circle of the icy full moon, and that made him look majestic and prideful. Crystal then joined in; her song more beautiful than Kikyo’s, more powerful to the heart as the song she sang sank into the pillows of your heart forever. They then went off the rock and began to pad their way in search for more food, for there shall be another blizzard that will last a week. They were walking in the thick tall show, when Kikyo tripped on something warm. He got up and Crystal joined him in into a festival of growls, then a small grey head popped up and whinnied loudly. The small pup had soft grey silver fur, and had beady little brown eyes. Crystal and Kikyo closed the festival of growls and Crystal reached her head out and grasped the pup’s scruff and brought him out of the snow, and they then both carried him back to their den, to of which he had sneezed, coughed, and choked a couple times. Crystal placed him in the hot spring for a little then she set him beside it, giving him a portion of meat enough to fill him one day and a half. The pup greedily ate the meat and yawned after having a fit of coughing and sneezing. He curled in a ball and he lay his head down, and Kikyo knew what to do. Crystal had to watch him, so she curled in a little ball, but her stomach was visible. The pup hesitated and got up and sneezed and coughed, and hesitated again before curling in a little ball and pressing onto Crystal’s belly like a new born would do when he or she was going to sleep. Kikyo ran out into the snow, and he caught two more caribou and a hare family of five. He came back and carried each one at a time, and soon they had enough to last them. Kikyo sighed and layed on the opposite side of Crystal, just so he could keep her warm and make sure his sister is safe. Crystal then gently placed the pup in the middle of the two wolves and she changed her position so her belly was now against the pup, and so was Kikyo’s. They woke up the next morning, and snow was riding the wind swiftly and fast, the wind chimed in and howled angrily in warning for them to stay in the cave or die in the blizzard. The pup awoke coughing and sneezing. He drank some of the hot spring water to of which Crystal had insisted he drink to help cure the coughing and sneezing to a mere little cold-like coughing and sneezing. The pup then got rid of the cold and soon he was a 2 year old pup who looked like Crystal, but without the spots. Crystal and Kikyo were now four years old, and the blizzard had died out a day ago. The pup was named Yuki. Yuki then went outside and then padded through the snow covering the rock to of which Crystal and Kikyo had howled, and he flung his head to the moon and howled a prideful, majestic, beautiful howl that rose and lowered beautifully. Kikyo then joined in with the same howl, and Crystal joined in by singing her heartfilled song that went perfectly with Yuki and Kikyo’s howls. A year later Yuki was three and Kikyo and Crystal were five, the siblings went out onto the rock and howled their most beautiful, majestic, howl to let the world know it was time to say good bye. Kikyo and Crystal finished their howl and laid down on the rock, the wind blowing and ruffling their fur, their tails siezed moving and Kikyo and Crystal closed their eyes forever as their old age took the best of them and their powerful hearts stopped beating the blood that was full of love. Yuki then went where Kikyo and Crystal were, and then pushed their lifeless bodies, and he whimpered and cried a little for Kikyo and Crystal were parents to him. He flung his head high and howled a mournful, sad howl that was melencholy and tears welled in Yuki’s eyes as he went back inside the den after his howl, and thus he laid down, sadness and lonliness enveloped him at once, sealing him forever, a pain stung his heart like a fire would touch grass and immediately light on fire and a lump formed in his throat as the tears rolled into his pelt, making his pelt sparkle like morning dew. He then went out with his tail between his legs and his head drooping low. He then came upon a clearing, and a hunter appeared there. Yuki was now alert as the hunter was staring at him with eyes wide, jaw hanging low, and Yuki remained with his sad eyes fixed upon the hunter.-c-

The hunter edged foreward a little, and Yuki then sprang back, belly close to the ground, claws out, ears flat on his furry cranium, his back arched like a cat, hair bristling viciously like porcupine quills, snarling savagely, growling ferociously, baring his fangs past his gums fiercly, lantern yellow eyes burning like a pool of hatred lava as he watched the hunter spring back, alarmed and scared. The hunter then pulled a rifle and Yuki sprang foreward and bit at the hunter’s ankles, making the hunter drop his rifle and spring back and scream in pain and terror. Yuki remained sprang back and watching the hunter bleed. He then still had his belly close to the ground, muscles bulging as his springing move was ready to go, his claws out, ears were flat as paper against his cranium, back arched like an angry mad cat, hair bristling viciously like porcupine quills, snarling savagely, growling ferociously, baring his bloody and drooled on fangs past their roots fiercly, his lantern yellow eyes still burning like a pool of hatred lava as he watched the hunter bleed and scream in pain. The hunter then drew out his tie and then wrapped it around his bite on his ankle and the tears stained his pale ceek and his eyes were a little bit red from crying, his chin quavering, eyes still watering from tears, his whole body shaking in fear, and everytime he tried to move, Yuki’s growls and snarles grew more ferocioucious and savage. The hunter remained shaking, chin quavering, and fear in his eyes as he stood as still as posible. Yuki kept doing his antics, and his muscles were bulging more this time as his eyes remained on the hunter. Then a pack of wolves arrived at the scene. The leader had a huge nasty scar starting at the bottom of his cheek and ending at the other side of his left eye. His pelt was of grey with black on his shoulders and paws. The rest of the pack were all grey wolves with horrible battle scars. Five were in this pack. The leader looked at the hunter and the hunter then was in shock and he then was snow pale. The leader of the pack then looked at Yuki who still had his back arched like a cat, hair bristling like porcupine quills viciously, snarling savagely, growling ferociously, ears as flat as paper on his cranium, claws out and digging into the ground and snow as his belly was close to he ground and his muscles bulging out of his skin and fur, ready to spring, fangs bared past their roots as they were bloody and drooled on. The leader of the pack then continued to watch Yuki. The hunter just remained in shock as he just stood their with eyes wide and skin as white as the snow. He then tried to move again, but his eyes remained on Yuki’s eyes, and Yuki held him to his place with his hard core cold stare. The leader of the pack, Riku, and the alpha female, Thatino, and the three other males, Hicho, Kikyo, and Bruno. Kikyo looked exactly like Kikyo who died and Thatino looked exactly like Crystal who died also. Then Riku looked back at the hunter, and then he and the rest of the pack just stood in their place, looking from the hunter, then to Yuki. Then the pack of five formed a circle around the two, waiting to see who goes down first, to wait until they figure which one will go down, and attack at once. Yuki then sprang and knocked the hunter to the ground with such force that left the hunter gasping for breath as he then took out a spear and then fought Yuki off with it, and just as Yuki’s jaws were about to clamp down on the hunter’s throat, the hunter, Bernard, stuck the pole of the spear into Yuki’s mouth, preventing him to kill him. Yuki drew his jaws back and went up and down, noticing the pole of the spear followed. Then Yuki kept faking that he was going to bite, and then once Bernard stopped playing Yuki’s game, Yuki took the chance and then clamped his jaws on Bernard’s throat, slicing his jugular in an instant, then he let go and leapt off, watching as his jugular spurted blood all over the snow, making a straight line of blood in the snow. The circle then tightened as they crunched and squeezed and finished the struggling hunter. Yuki couldn’t see his chance to get out and was smashed in the circle of wolves. He was then biting and snarling and growling savagely at the pack to move back, but they wouldn’t. The pack then had trampled Yuki down and the leader commanded Thatino to sit on Yuki while he was down, and she did. Yuki then threw her off and then leapt foreward and then clamped his jaws tight on her throat, piercing the jugular with his fang, then leaping off and listing to her yelping and pleas turn to just silent maw motions as the light of life died away and death swooped over her. Yuki then was snarling savagely, growling ferociously, bristling like a porcupine viciously, baring his bloody and drooled on fangs past their roots fiercly, back arched a little, and muscles bulging and shifting as he waited to spring if they attacked. His auds were flat on his cranium and his claws were out. Then Kikyo leapt foreward and Yuki sprang and tackled Kikyo on his back and the two rolled around in the snow, slashing and biting eachother. Yuki ripped Kikyo’s ears to shreds and slashed Kikyo’s shoulder open to the bone and then Kikyo fell to the ground and Yuki went in and ripped his throat open and blood spurted everywhere. Yuki continued his antics and his muscles bulged as he waited for the next victim. Bruno then leapt at Yuki and Yuki then leapt up and they met eachother, ripping at eachothers throat, and Yuki got his ear torn to shreds and his shoulder ripped clean open as he was on top of Bruno, ripping his jugular open in three different places. Yuki’s muscles bulged as he waited for his next victim, his savage antics as Hicho leapt up. Yuki met him halfway too and he got his side ripped open a little and his eye slashed a bit and his eye blinded as he ripped Hicho’s throat wide open and the blood spurted everywhere. Riku and Yuki circled eachother, Yuki being the outer circle and Riku the inner circle. Yuki then leapt foreward, slashed Riku’s ears to shreds and ripped his shoulder clean open, and leapt back, and continued his savage antics as they continued circling, Riku and Yuki both bleeding. Riku then leapt in and slashed Yuki’s cheek wide open and he leapt back. Yuki then leapt in and tackled Riku and ripped both his ears to shreds and slashed Riku’s other shoulder open to the bone and they both rolled around in the snow. Then Yuki went in and clamped his jaws tight on Riku’s and Riku returned the bite as he grasped Yuki’s chest. Yuki then did a chewing motion and shifted up a spot on Riku’s throat, and then a few more chewing motions later, he punctured Riku’s jugular, and Riku wasn’t ready to give up then. Riku then tackled Yuki down and then began to tear his chest open, trying to get to his heart, then Riku fell over dead and Yuki struggled and got up, bleeding all over, and he limped towards his den, wincing at every step. He entered his den and collapsed on the cold hard floor, his fur red now as the blood dripped. His tounge flitted in and out as he attended to his almost fatal wounds. He licked away the blood until his wounds stopped bleeding, then the wind howled it’s song as it blew the snow around. He then whimpered slightly and then he closed his eyes and slept until the sun rose and the spring weather sprouted from the buds of winter. The snow had melted mostly, and when Yuki awoke, his wounds had healed and they turned to battle scars that will never be forgotten. He got up, and he padded into the wet, slushy green grass of the spring season. He instantly put his well shaped, scarred nose to the ground and began to sniff the ground, in search for meat that he would be able to get. The wind twirled around him, ruffling his pelt of gray. His eyes were dimming like a lantern light about to dim away. He was now 3 years old and his eyes were filled with sadness for his best parent like figures were Kikyo and Crystal. He sniffed more, until his scarred nose fell into a pool of crystal clear water, then he saw his reflection, and Crystal appeared beside him in the water, but when he looked, it was just an illusion. He continued sniffing, when he heard twigs snap as hooves clamped on them. He swiftly and silently ran towards the source of the smell, and saw two deer. A male with antlers of tough hard rock-like bone, and his mate was a fea of magnificent structure, her muscles were mostly put into her legs. They were grazing in the wet, cold snow melted grass, then Yuki took in and then growled and then snarled savagely, the growl and snarl rolling out of their cages from his throat, and splitting the silent autumn air as he leapt through the air, landing on the females back. He then began to claw and dug under the skin with his claws as his blood stained fangs dug into the tough thick throught of the deer. The blood and thick fur rolled down his rumbling throat. The deer and her mate began to hop around, and then Yuki growled between his clenched fangs and his eyes began to get their light back, and he then pulled on the female and made her topple over on her side. He then leapt off of her before she hit and then he clamped his powerful jaws on the throat of the deer. The blood spurted like a fountain of blood as it was released. The male turned, his chocolate brown eyes burning with hate as they half squinted angrily at Yuki. His legs spread apart, his head down a little, his nostrils flaring as he snorted savagely. He then charged Yuki, and Yuki then charged back, and leapt, but only met the deer’s antlers and he then fell on his side with a slight thump and he weakly got up on his paws, his throut rumbling from snarling and growling savagely, his belly touching the ground, his back arched like an angry cat, his fur bristling like porcupine quills, his fangs bared past their roots ferociously, his tail standing erect, his muscles bulging out of his body, almost making them tear open his skin and fur and pop out, his eyes were now fully lit lanterns of yellow hatred lava. The deer charged again and Yuki was ready. He leapt, but a tiger with stripes of bright orange and nightblack roared and then tackled the deer, and Yuki landed beside the tiger, the tiger then clawed the male deer’s throat and bit into it, puncturing the jugular with his yellow fangs. Yuki was angry and he then tackled the tiger with all his strength and then the tiger roared and then smacked Yuki and scratched his face as Yuki went toppling off of the tiger. Then Yuki weakly got up again and then he glared at the tiger that was pacing back and forth like a caged tiger. Yuki then placed his belly close to the ground, his auds placed flat on his grayish cranium, his throat caged a savage snarl and a ferocious growl, a key unlocked the cage and the snarl and growl escaped his maw, his teeth were bared past their fangs ferociously, his back was arched like an angry cat again, his tail stood erect, his eyes were fully lit up and angriness filled them up to the top, his claws were out and had blood on them a little, his angry face was bleeding a little from the scratch, the pelt he had was standing like porcupine quills. The tiger looked at him, his curved tail moving back and forth, he drew his bloody glinting claws out and he pounced close to the ground, his mouth opening, revealing a nasty roar , his bloody, yellow fangs. Yuki was the first to leap in the air, then the tiger roared and leapt, his mouth open, his claws ahead of his face. Yuki and the tiger met in mid-air, Yuki clamped his jaws on the thick throat of the tiger and the tiger had dug his claws in Yuki’s throat. Yuki had a death grip on the tiger, and the tiger tried to wiggle him off, but the tiger got tired and then laid down, and then Yuki punctured the jugular after probing his throat with his fangs. The tiger wasn’t finished, just like Riku wasn’t. The tiger then roared and then smacked Yuki off with the rest of his strength before his head fell to the ground as the blood surrounded his head. Yuki had hit a tree with his cranium, and his head started to bleed. He then began to crawl away, his head still bleeding, not severly but not exactly perfect. After an hour the bleeding stopped and Yuki had laid down. He woke up in the middle of the forest, a hunter aiming a gun at him from a distance. Yuki looked at the hunter with an eye that could see clearly, and an eye that was a little blurry and had a scar that looked like a stitch going down the top of his eye to the bottom of it. He breathed heavily and then laid his auds flat against his furry gray cranium, his dim sad eyes fixed on the hunter. He braced himself for the shot, but it never came. He got up surprisingly well, and he then braced himself for a fight, and then he weakly leapt and then tackled the hunter and then tried to get at the hunter’s throat, but the hunter knocked him backwards with the butt of his gun. Then Yuki was angry and then leapt once more, snarling and growling savagely, and then his claws were out and his fangs were bared past their roots ferociously. His pelt bristling like porcupine quills fiercly, his auds flat against his dried up bloody cranum, he leapt again and got the hunter’s throat before he knew what had happened. He then leapt away and then flung his head up and out of his throat came a mournful, majestic, rising and lowering howl of the last wolf in the world. Then he finished off the howl with a mournful cry to the world, then a gunshot rang through the trees as the hunter then laid his head down and then closed his eyes forever. Yuki lay motionless in the grass of spring, the gunshot echo just dimmed away, and the whole forest was motionless for a while, and then blood spilled out of Yuki, and the hunter’s throat spilled blood everywhere, staining the grass. That was the end of the orphan wolf named Yuki. -d-
